Protecting the environment and supporting the local community are both important to Energi North East Ltd. So, when the opportunity arose to help improve a local community green space, the team were delighted to get involved.

On 9 February, the Energi North East team spent the day volunteering at Rufus Woods, a three-acre community woodland in Richmond. Invited by Steve Biggs, General Manager of Just the Job, a Richmond-based charity that manages the woodland, the team planted donated oak saplings and installed the woodland’s very first bug hotel — helping to create vital habitats for insects and support biodiversity

Sustainability and protecting the environment are at the heart of what we do. When we heard about the fantastic work taking place at Rufus Woods and the positive impact Just the Job is having in the community, we knew we wanted to be involved. This is the first community project we’ve supported, but it certainly won’t be the last. We are already exploring further opportunities to give something back to both our community and the environment.”

Energi North East Ltd is passionate about renewable energy and environmental responsibility, and this project reflects the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that make a lasting difference locally.
