Reliable, Resilient, Renewable

Energi North East recently completed a domestic installation featuring 16 Jasolar 475W solar panels (7.6kW) and a backup gateway system allowing the property to operate independently in the event of a grid outage. Complemented by two 8kW batteries, the system is designed to discharge stored energy as needed or maintain supply seamlessly during power cuts until grid power is restored.

Maximising Clean Energy Usage

To fully optimise their renewable energy potential, the homeowners chose to complement their Solar PV system with battery storage, ensuring greater flexibility and extended use of clean power throughout the day and night.

The Challenge

Weathering Delays with Precision
Despite persistent rain and minor supplier delays, the roofing phase of the solar installation was completed successfully. Prior to fitting the panels, DC cables were carefully routed into the roof space to ensure safe connection to the inverter where the energy is converted into AC power for use within the home.

To safeguard the system in the long term, the solar panels were fitted with Enviroguard bird protection, effectively preventing nesting beneath the array and avoiding potential damage or disruption.

The Results

Precision and Performance, Rain or Shine
A premium solar installation was completed within the agreed timeframe, overcoming persistent wet weather to deliver exceptional results. The system was securely mounted using Renusol Variosole roof hooks and rails, ensuring durability and a seamless fit with the property’s structure.

Powered via a Sigenergy backup gateway and a 6kW inverter, the setup also features two 8kW batteries, offering flexible energy use that helps the homeowners reduce their reliance on the grid and lower energy costs.
